Shipping

Shipping to Haiti is expensive.  It involves paying for shipping to Florida, then paying  shipping and customs from Florida to Cap Haitien.  For items that can be bought in Haiti, sometimes a better option is to send money earmarked for a particular purchase to avoid shipping costs.  To do this, send a check to the Haitian Christian Foundation office with a note to Ann to specify the purpose.

If you wish to purchase and mail the item yourself:

1) The preferred method is to send a check directly to Missionary Flights International (MFI) to cover the cost of the package. The cost of shipping from FL to CAP is $1.85 per pound.

Attach a note: package you are paying for specifically (example: HCF, Bibles, 3 pounds, ordered August 1st from American Bible Society). Memo line on the check:  HCF

2) Make a donation to HCF for the customs of the item via Paypal or check.  Customs fees are about $20 per box depending on size and quality of items being shipped.  The check for customs goes to:

Large and Heavy Shipments can often be shipped more economically by boat. Caribbean American Shipping Express (CAS Xpress)  has worked well for some shipments in the past.  For more information on this option, their website is http://www.shiptohaiti.com.
